“This course is going to give you the information and confidence needed to start running your piano studio today! It's going to set you out on a path of success and help you avoid pitfalls commonly experienced by new studios. My favorite part is that it is not just a resource for now, it's something that you can refer back to as you grow and develop your business. ”

“This kit taught me everything that I need to know about how to teach piano lessons. Everything is easy to follow. Angela had given multiple ways to do things which gives flexibility, but structure. I loved watching the videos and can’t wait to start teaching!”

Brynn

From deciding what to charge to teaching rhythm and technique, this resource covers everything I had questions about and everything I had no idea I needed! Thank you Angela for helping me become a better piano teacher! My students thank you as well.”

teaching piano ... great idea, but how to even begin?

How do I find students? What books would I teach out of? What would I even do with them once we start? I've been there. My students have been there too! Let me share my best advice and tips with you too!

Angela K Toone NCTM

Hi Angela Toone NCTM here! "Yes", it's a musical last name, and "No" it's not a stage name! I really am married to the amazing Tyler Toone, (and not just for his name, he's pretty much a superhero.) We have 4 kids of our own, who all play the piano. Anywho...I have been studying piano since the age of 5, with teachers like Patricia Kelsey Graham and Bonnie Winterton who fueled my desire to start teaching my own piano students. I graduated with a BA in Piano Performance from the University of Utah, where I studied with Jeffrey Price and took Piano Pedagogy classes. Loved it. Now I have over 20 years of experience teaching piano out of my home studio in Utah. I continue improving as a piano teacher as a member of the Music Teachers National Association, even completing my National Certification in 2021! I participate as a local board member of the Utah Federation of Music Clubs and once I even took a course "Jazz Piano for Music Teachers." I've recently pivoted to pedagogy, teaching teachers how to teach! It's a Musical Life!
